Family and Friends are the pillars of our lives, they are with us through thick and thin. Sat round the dining table eating together, writing their first word, birthdays, Christmas’s, laughter, singing, crying. It all happens around a table. The most important piece of furniture, the memory maker.

From the Ski chalets of Courchevel to the old barns and grannarys of Sussex, I pride myself in restoring the past and seeing the beautiful buildings live on for another 200 years. And, if that's not possible, taking design characteristics from the surroundings to create a new sympathetic structure, ready to enhance its local habitat.

I treat these structures just like the furniture I make. It gets the same attention to detail, the same commitment to retaining its soul, just on a bigger scale.

Play is one of life's many joys. It's how I feel when designing and building a treehouse, play structure for the kids or gin bar rising high above your garden. I’m transported back to my childhood, building a den and creating a world of my own. Now I use my skills and knowledge of how to harness the strength of wood to create a world above a world, amongst the trees.

The dining room table that has seen it all, a studio space to escape the world, an oak frame garage for that priceless vehicle or the simplicity of a burnt lump side table that you can stare at for hours.
